THE 11 ARTISTS PROJECT
Each month SHhhh showcased one artist, commissioned them to design a short collection of artwork and T-Shirts which were printed, sold and exhibited in stores and galleries across the UK…
The aim of the 11 Artists project was to keep things fresh, fun and constantly evolving by working with emerging artists each with very different styles and approaches.
Kicking off the 11 Artists project on the 11th day of the 11th Month was Sam Harrons, founder of The SHhhh Collective.
Adam Batchelor's work is about a breakdown between the real and the unreal, of society and culture. It is about the interaction between these different worlds and how they can be manipulated and influenced. It not only looks at the blurring between cultures from the 'developed' and 'developing' world but also looks into the impact of hyper-reality within modern culture and lifestyles. The work is also divided between detailed pencil work and the comic abstraction of cartoon imagery.
Stephen Mellor uses digital and traditional methods. His work extracts from dreams and memories, using colour and shape to create romantic, distracted situations.
Matt Musk who is heavily inspired by 80's skate culture, B movies and punk music, created a collection that reflects all of the above but what is clear to see within Musk's work is the overall joy he gets from drawing.
Words from the Artist himself

The Exhibition and Collection were Launched at the Student Union bar at Norwich University College of the Arts.
Lucy Blue's work focuses on pattern, color, typography and observation tied together by underlying dry wit, dark cynicism and just plain strange nostalgia.
Her collection for SHhhh was based around the theme of Summer.
The Exhibition was held at the Bird Cage Pub, Norwich.
Jason Drake spent a month travelling around Thailand with Sam Harrons on his return it was revealed that he was to be the 9th of the 11 Artists.

THE 11 ARTIST PROJECT FINALE
December 2012 | 11 Artists Exhibition & Pop Up Shop, Beach Gallery London
The 11 Artists project was created by SHhhh to enable emerging artists to gain exposure through clothing collections and a selection of exhibitions.
They selected 11 artists over 12 months and each month one of these artists created a collection of t-shirt designs.
These t-shirts alongside original artwork were displayed in a context that complimented the artist, whether it be a bar, a gallery, in stores or online.
To round off this exciting project, The SHhhh Collective held an exhibition and pop up shop at Beach Gallery, London, on the 22nd December. This exhibition brought together all of the 11 Artists.
The exhibition showcased a broad range of styles and products. From illustration and film to publications and painting.
